It's over

Well, I am sad to report that I just signed the paper nullifying our contract with the seller. Remember that part about the assessment in the previous post? Yeah, well the house sort of assessed for a whole lot lower than the seller is asking, and he won't go down on the price at all. I'm not sure exactly what he's smoking if he thinks he's going to get someone to pay over assessment in this horrible market (also see the post before that regarding my job situation!) but oh well... I guess it wasn't the one after all. 

After Christmas we're back to square one. And unfortunately we're out the inspection and assessment fees, but at least we get our earnest money back!
