New house, new furniture

We are counting the days until we get to move into the new house. Monday night our sellers have to be all moved out, so we plan on spending that night there, so I can clean all day Tuesday while Joel's at work. Then Wednesday and Thursday will be painting days, and on Friday the 13th all the contents of our apartment will be moved there (I'm so glad we hired people to do that part!). 

We've been spending most of the last week or two packing, scheduling utilities and shopping for new furniture. The sellers paid all of our closing costs, and we had to pay less down payment then we thought, and there is that great tax credit loan thing for first time homebuyers... between all of that we had some money to put towards furniture so we don't to sit on the floor! 

Here is the dining table we found on clearance at Macy's. 

Here is the 6'x9' rug we found on overstock.com to put under the table. 

And is a picture of the couch we got for the living room. We also bought the love seat and a matching chair to put in the family room in front of the fireplace. Yes, they're cream. Yes, we did get the furniture protection plan! 

It was pretty surreal to order this all at once, but we found such great sales and had been saving up the money, so we went ahead and splurged. I love the furniture we found and can't wait to see it in the new house. Stay tuned for moving posts!
