Creamer Bonanza

So I have been spending too much money stopping at 7/11 the last couple of weeks because I am addicted to the pumpkin spice latte in the fake cappachino machine. I had been waiting and waiting for Bloom to finally get the pumpkin spice flavored creamer so I could make my own. I had been stalking the shelves for a month or more, with no luck. Then at Bible study the other night there it was, on the table, and I knew the time had finally come. I got to the store as quickly as possible, and headed straight for the creamer section.

It wasn't there.

I think the man that was trying to buy milk in the same seciton was annoyed as I tried to show past him and carefully read each label. French vanilla... no. Hazelnut... no. Caramel machiatto... tempting, but no. It wasn't pumpkin. In fact, there weren't any of the "holiday flavors" that I became so addicted to this time of year last.

As I sighed and turned to head to buy my eggs, I spotted some of those cheesy premade halloween cookie doughs and then... I saw it. They had segregated the yummiest creamers of all into their own little section. I guess it was the "seasonal section" with those halloween cookies. I didn't care the reason, I was happy. Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but it made my day. I had just about resigned myself to no pumpkin spice creamer this year.

I guess you could say I went a little crazy at this point. I put one pumpkin spice in my basket, then realized how quickly we go through it and how frustrating it was to find, so I grabbed another. And then the gingerbread flavor next to it sounded really tempting... so I grabbed it too (plus they were on a killer sale). Then I spotted a forgotten favorite... Chocolate Mint! Yum! One of those went in the basket. I was feeling great as I walked away, but then something caught my eye. White Chocolate Raspberry? That sounds simply heavenly. What the heck, you only live once! So yes, I bought 5 creamers last night, I confess. But since Joel's been gone there is lots of room in my fridge and they all fit nicely.

And my own homemade pumpkin spice concoction with Trader Joe's wintry blend coffee and pumpkin spice creamer made for a lovely drive on a rainy Tuesday morning. It's the little things.

I feel your pain and joy. They were showing the commercials for the Caramel Macchiato and Vanilla Latte and Mocha. But everytime I went to the store they only had Caramel Macchiato but I wanted Vanilla Latte. But I eneded up buying two Caramel Macchiatos with them being on sale and me having a coupon. Still have yet to see Vanilla Latte. Sigh.
