A weekend in Texas

I was blessed to be able to go to Texas for a little weekend getaway 2 weeks ago. The occassion was a very good friend's baby shower. I had told her I couldn't go because the tickets were too expensive, but at the last minute I found a really cheap ticket that worked perfectly for a weekend away.

Here is Melody not loving the camera. But I had to put this one up to show off baby Rylea! (she's due on Sept. 20th). Saturday afternoon we ran around College Station (Melody's husband, Jeff, is finishing his masters at Texas A&M) so it was great to go to old favorite college hangouts... like Freebirds!! Yum.

I didn't take any pictures, but I was also able to go on a long run around campus and spend Sunday morning with Nancy, my good friend/mentor/Bible Study leader/woman who let me live in her house for a year before we were married. We went to church together which was so wonderful. Love you Nancy- don't worry, we'll be back for a football game!
