Last weekend Amy and I ran in the Loudoun County Leesburg 10K. Once we got done running through the strip mall and got on the W&OD (Washington and Old Diminion?) trail, it was really pretty. I didn't actually see any cows, but there is a picture of one of my race tee. I did see some hay bales though. And I finished the race in slightly better time than I expected so that was good. And I felt better than I expected afterwards so that was even better. Of course Amy beat me even though she trained for a total of 2 or less weeks. Oh well. After the race we hung out in the grass with Nadia and let her play. Most of that play involved our empty gatorade and orange juice bottles, as you can see.

In other news, I booked our tickets to Europe today!!! We are going the first 2 weeks in October- to Austria and The Czech Republic. I am really excited to get to run away for 2 whole weeks with my husband! Yeah for saving for 5 years- it's paid off! We plan on spending a few days in the cities (Vienna and Prague) but for the most part we will be exploring the countryside. Can you say Alps and the Austrian Lake District? Here's an image I pulled off of google images. I can't wait to have my own!
