First Picture

We had a bit of a scare the last week or so... I was having some disconcerting symptoms and the doctor decided to do an early sonogram to make sure everything was okay with the baby. We were very nervous, and trying to have faith that God knew what was right and would take care of us and the little one.

Praise God that everything is looking really great- not to mention we got to hear our baby's heart beat for the first time (really the heart just started to beat at all, since I'm only 6 weeks!). It was really incredible to hear, and a HUGE relief.

The picture is of the amniotic sac (the black jelly bean shaped thing). The little bouncy ball is the yolk sac, and the little white part in the bouncy ball is the baby. If you squint and use your imagination, you can see the little form of a baby (really big head, really little feet?).

The other thing this sonogram let us know that there is just one infant on their way, not two. :)

Grandmas, eat your hearts out!
